The Vankleek Hill Review received four awards and an honorable mention at ceremonies which took place this past weekend at the Canadian Community Newspaper Association (CCNA) and the Ontario Community Newspaper Association (OCNA) convention.

A talk on teen suicide - James Thomas gives a first-person account

This live-streamed event allowed viewers to participate in this special presentation which took place at Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute on Tuesday, Feb 7th from 7 to 8 p.m

Guest speaker James Thomas gave a first hand account of trying to understand and cope with the suicide of Chantal, his younger sister. James presented this talk and the documentary he produced to two student assemblies

The Blueberry Hill Bistro may be best known for its dinner menu and seemingly endless wine list, but owner Chris Williams is hoping to make a mark in the local music scene by hosting a weekly live music event every Wednesday evening.

Alexandria songstress Shannon Hardy took the stage in front of a capacity crowd last Wednesday, armed only with her guitar and her powerful voice.

Hardy entertained the crowd by playing some of her original songs, as well as a vast variety of covers and even took requests from the audience.
