Black ice contributes to crash on Long Sault bridge

Collision happened in early morning hours

It might seem early in the year, but black ice has already contributed to a collision in the region.

On November 12 at 7:40 a.m., two small cars collided on the Long Sault bridge.
Lieutenant Andre Montpetit of the Sureté du Quebec said the collision was due to black ice. One car is said to have skidded into the path of another, on the Quebec side of the bridge.

"It was a loss of control, due to slippery road conditions," he said.

Three people were involved in the crash, and were brought by ambulance to the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital.

The drivers' and passenger's injuries are said to be minor.

No charges will be laid in connection with the collision.
