The On The Edge Synchronized Skating Team, which will be competing in the Adult Figure Skating National Championships in Ottawa from April 2 to 4, is inviting people to come watch the team in action this weekend.

The team will hold a preliminary performance - ideally in front of a big crowd - at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre this Saturday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. Admission is free, and the performance will take only five minutes.

The team competed its very first synchro competition on January 16, in Whitby, Ontario, and came home with a bronze medal. The team competed at the Adult II Level, which means 75 per cent of the team had to be over the age of 25.

Coach Lauren Capstick said, "The team members went out there and represented themselves with grace and surprised everyone with their skill and power. For their first synchro competition ever, they outdid themselves!"

The team is now fuelled to work hard to make their program polished over the coming weeks, for their next competition in Kanata at the Sensplex, where the team will be competing in the Adult Figure Skating National Championships from April 2 to 4.

Come and watch the team in action this Saturday!
