The first Clarence-Rockland Wine and Food Show has been set for October 3.
More than a dozen restaurants, caterers, cheese makers and other specialists will be gathering in Rockalnd to showcase their wares.
There will also be tables featuring local beers and wines as well as tasting workshops.
The Wine and Food Show will be the first event to be held in the new Performance Hall of the Clarence-Rockland Recreational and Cultural Complex.
The show was announced on August 31 in Rockland by organizers Martine Dion and Bernadette Sarazin.
The organizers have chosen two charitable organizations to receive this year’s proceeds.
The first is the Little Troopers Foundation, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for chronically ill children and their families in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.
The second charity is the Du Moulin Foundation, dedicated to collecting funds to support health programs offered at the Clarence-Rockland Medical Centre.
“We are delighted to promote this new Performance Hall which will be an important cultural and social resource for the community,” says Bernadette Sarazin. “We are truly privileged to inaugurate the new hall with our Wine and Food Show.”
Tickets to the show can be purchased online at www.vinclarencerocklandwine.ca or at Boston Pizza in Rockland.
