Giant pumpkin contest

A giant pumpkin contest will be held in Vankleek Hill on October 4.

The contest weigh-in takes place at the Country Depot from noon to 3 p.m.

Last year’s winner was Louise Mallette, who brought in a pumpkin weighing an incredible 894 pounds.

There will also be contests for smallest pumpkin and other categories.
