Glengarry Pioneer Museum to feature local art fair

Works by 17 local artists to be featured
Painting by Frances Bailey

The Glengarry Pioneer Museum will be hosting its third annual art fair on June 13 and 14.
This year the event — which is spelled Art Fayre, in the Old English style — will feature the work of 17 local artists.
Mediums include paintings in oils, watercolours, acrylics and mixed media as well as fabric art, ceramics, linocuts and sculpture. Exhibitors this year are Lynne Ayers, Fran Bailey, Edwina Billyk, Margaret Caldbick, Marlana Carnett, Flip Flockton, Evlyn Fortier, Barb Glen, Susan Harms, Valerie Harrison, Susan Jephcott, Brenda Kennedy, Holly Kelleher, Ronna Mogelon, Natalie Rowe, Jackie Shelly and John Sims.
An art sale is also planned to raise funds for the museum, as well as artists’ demonstrations.
As well, visitors can experiment with various art mediums at the large Doodle Table and there will be a session for trading “Artist Trading Cards,” which are the baseball-card-sized collectors’ items of the art world.
