Hawkesbury Curling Club news

The Hawkesbury Curling Club will be hosting a Senior Open Bonspiel on January 8-10 with a total purse of over $4,200. Twenty-four teams will be competing for the top prize of $1,000. Local teams skipped by Claude Hoffman, Richard Dupuis and Mike Kirby will be participating, along with teams from Ottawa, Montreal and the surrounding areas. Also, in attendance, will be the reigning Canadian Senior Men's champions skipped by Bruce Delaney. Delaney's team will be competing at the World Championships later this year.
Local curling enthusiasts are invited to come out and watch the superb competition and to cheer on their local teams. Cogeco will also be covering the event on local television.
