Hawkesbury OPP detachment reduces office hours

The OPP office in Hawkesbury is changing its hours in a significant reduction in the time its administrative office is open.
As of September 8, the front desk will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This is reduced from when the administrative office was open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; a reduction of six-and-a-half hours.
Police said before 8 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m., a phone outside will be available for anyone requiring non-administrative assistance from an officer.

Reduction of hours

I am not sure if the service provided may be affected, It cannot any worse hat it is now, I was arrested on a false accusation and i would have appreciate that at least an investigation would have been done or a statement taken. I obviously did not benefit of the presumption of innocence and was the bad guy right from the start even if I have never committed a crime in my life. If an investigation or statement would have been taken I am sure this would have cleared me of these accusations. But I am not sure if that was due to lack in manpowers or just lack in willingness to actually do a lenghty and proper investigation. However I am not impressed by the lack of professionalism from the hawkesbury detachment and their lack of knowledge into the law at times. I know family law is a slippery issue and do believe they did not want to appear to take either side but they did and continue to do just that. This was most apparent when I was hit with vandalism in my home. I will eventually filled a complaint on the Constable but this depends if he does investigate or if he is too busy giving ticket on the 401.
