Jacques Martin to host his 13th annual Golf tournament tomorrow in Rockland
Montreal Canadiens head coach Jacques Martin recently hosted the 13th edition of his annual golf tournament at the Outaouais Golf Club in Rockland.
Considered as one of the largest fundraisers in the Ottawa region, the event included more than 325 golfers playing along with a number of celebrity guests.
Amongst the celebrities were: Bob Gainey (Canadiens general manager), Marc Crawford (Dallas Stars head coach), Benoit Groulx (Canadian football quarterback), Phil Myre (retired NHL goaltender) and Randy Sexton (Florida Panthers assistant general manager).
Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to La Fondation de La Cité collégiale
and Roger's House. Roger's House is a hospice for pediatric palliative care built on grounds of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
According to organizers, the Omnium Jacques Martin golf tournament has donated close to $1 million since its inception in 1996.
