L’Écho d’un Peuple might return

Organizers hope to see show in 2011
L’Écho d’un Peuple, the francophone big-budget theatre show, might be coming back to life.
Organizers recently obtained a $20,000 grant from the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation.
A groupe called L’Écho de la Nation is trying to raise about a million dollars to resuscitate the show.
They are speaking with investors and hope the show could come back by 2011.
“Before producing the show we want to make sure the financing is guaranteed. Using this grant we want to hire experts to develop a strategy to move forward and make this happen. We have to mobilize our partners,” said Réjean Aubut, spokesperson for the organizers.
In order to turn the profit, the show would need 500 people per show three times a week, from mid-summer to August.
