Lachute holds "smash-and-dash" demolition derby and mud-bog

The Lachute Agricultural Society hosted a smash-and-dash demolition derby and mud-bog on Sunday, September, 6 at the Lachute fairgrounds.

The Labour Day demolition derby is a 20-year tradition that has inspired countless generations of youth to smash, bash and crash their competition straight out of the fairgrounds.

At the end of the day the cars are reduced to smouldering scrap metal, your mouth tastes like dirt and you simply can't wait for the next derby to roll around.

“The Lachute Agricultural Society is non-profit and money raised by this event will be used to repair its 100-year old barns and to maintain the property.
