Monster musical in Vankleek Hill
10th year for local music and arts summer camp
Dateline:
Vankleek Hill
It might seem a little early in the year, but some Vankleek Hill children are already thinking about fall leaves, pumpkins and ghost stories.
This year, the 10th annual Music and Arts Summer Camp had a theme of monsters and ghosts.
The camp ended with a large musical at St-Jude Catholic school, where 55 children wore spooky costumes and danced.
Some of the children played music using guitars, xylophones and even harps.
Guest conductor Pete Paquette also led children through a variety of songs, which were weaved in a story about the Frankenstein monster.
Of course, Michael Jackson’s Thriller made an appearance and parents seemed delighted by the play.
