Montreal band Polar Eyes to play at Hawkesbury concert

Gig is a home-coming for band member and Hawkesbury native Jason Lalonde

Ever since moving to the city of Montreal nine years ago, Hawesbury native and musician Jason Lalonde says he has always hoped he would get a chance to come back to the area - to play a gig and hook up again with old friends.

Well, on Thursday, July 23, it looks like Jason's dream will be coming true because that is when his band - Polar Eyes will be hitting the stage at Hawkesbury's Place-des-Pionniers - as part of the town's continuing 150th anniversary celebrations.

Listen to an interview Jason did with Review reporter Jean Sarrazin recently about the band, the kind of music it plays and their upcoming gig in Hawkesbury.

Lead singer Thiery will perform with Polar Eyes at Hawkesbury's Place-des-Pionniers at approximately 7:30pm on Thursday, July 23rd. (Submitted photo)

Really cool interview, Jean!

Hi, this is Philippe Morin from the Review I think this band should play a few shows with "Fire and Neon," who had a amazing set at the Vankleek Hill May Show. Both have danceable beats and rock melody --- a good pairing? http://www.myspace.com/fireandneon Really enjoying this feature of posting sound clips from bands, I'll have to seek out some groups and try this myself..
