The more we move forward, nothing changes

On Tuesday, January 10, the citizens of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge have, once more, witnessed the disorderly game which is played at every council meeting of our municipality.
It is always the same councillors playing with the population by reputedly using the same tactics, meaning:
- Voting against requests from Mayor Saywell.
- Maintaining a disorderly approach, thus confirming there is a division at the council table.
- Calling secret, confidential meetings, excluding Mayor Saywell and refusing systematically to inform the mayor on the subject of these discussions.
- Furthermore, systematically refusing to speak, to discuss or to plan with Mayor Saywell.
Those actions and this kind of behaviour warrant the signature of Councillor Noel Baril seconded by Councillor Diane Monette. Whereby a municipal council should work together as a team, here in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, we criticize, we blame and we do everything in our power to devise. In other words, we divide to reign better.
At the same meeting, the citizens were informed of the resignation of Councillor Daniel Gauthier from the public security and recreational committees. Let it be known the public security committee has an importance equal to the finance committee. This resignation is an insult to our population. Well done to you, the musketeers. You have succeeded in bringing an honest councillor, dedicated and respectful of his oath of office, to resign.
Must we live and suffer this no respect toward the population for the next two years? I strongly wish that a rebellion would take place among the population, so that this situation would come to an end.
Finally, I have one question: a citizen forwarded a question to Councillor Baril, wanting to know when VÉO will honour its engagement to the municipality by disbursing an amount of money to improve the Rouge River Road conditions. Councillor Baril felt it was not the place to answer this question and it was the wrong timing. Why no answer?
The question was legitimate and it is of public knowledge. Furthermore, why did Councillor Baril leave the meeting before the public question period? To ask the question is like answering…
