North Glengarry man killed after collision with deer

A North Glengarry man was killed last Thursday, June 16 when his motorcycle struck a deer along County Road 24 near Dunvegan.
Officers with the SD&G detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a collision at about 10:40 p.m. that evening. The investigation determined that the 36-year-old male driver was driving westbound on County Road 24, near Blyth Road, when his 2001 Yamaha motorcycle struck a deer.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. A section of County Road 24 was closed as officers, assisted by technical traffic investigators, continued the investigation. The roadway was reopened at 6:30 a.m. Friday morning.
