OPP seize vehicle in connection with Fournier hit-and-run
The criminal investigation branch of the Ontario Provincial Police has seized a vehicle that may be connected to the death of 18-year-old Jessica Marie Lynne Godin.
Godin, a Casselman resident, was last seen alive on September 22 between 7 and 8:15 p.m. Officers with the Hawkesbury OPP detachment then found her body two days later, on September 24 at 2:20 p.m., adjacent to the park on Du Parc Street in Fournier.
Autopsy results indicated Godin died as a result of injuries that may have been sustained in a motor vehicle collision. Police now believe she was the victim of a hit and run.
The OPP criminal investigation branch, under the direction of Det. Insp. Dan Nadeau, executed a search warrant on October 13 and seized a vehicle in relation to the death.
The vehicle is now the Center of Forensic Science in Toronto for examination.
