Woman charged in Hawkesbury stabbing

A woman has been charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred in Hawkesbury on Thursday, March 5.

Hawkesbury OPP officers were dispatched to the scene of a stabbing incident on Nelson Street West in the Town of Hawkesbury at around 3:30 a.m. A 46-year-old male victim was found outside his residence with bleeding wounds.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for aggravated assault under section 268. The pair were in a relationship.

The male was transported to the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital via ambulance.

He suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was detained until her bail hearing at L'Orignal Court, which was scheduled for Friday, March 5.
