At approximately 6 a.m. today, a semi-trailer overturned on Highway 401, near Lancaster. The incident occurred on the on-ramp of the eastbound lane. The male driver of the truck sustained what police referred to as minor injuries. He was transported from the scene by ambulance.
Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) remain on the scene. The Highway in the affected area has been reduced to one lane and detours are in place via the South Service Road.
Police report that the truck was not carrying hazardous material.
