And the winners are . . . Robert Methot of 43 Pendleton Street in Vankleek Hill placed first in the Vankleek Hill Christmas Lights Contest, winning $300 in Vankleek Hill bucks. Second-place winner Shirley Hall of 94 Grout Street is seen at centre (she won $200 in Vankleek Hill bucks). The winners collected their winnings from Vankleek Hill Business and Merchant Association president Vicky Jean Louis (at left). Third-place winners were Marie and Marc Beaudet of 69 Bertha Street. The winning entry is seen at left, described by the judges here: “The decorations were extremely well-suited to the home featuring a large wreath, a specific coloured light for the vertical bushes to match the columns. It was all topped off with the centrepiece/large window featuring a beautiful Christmas tree inside that matched the outdoor lights. The Vankleek Hill BMA organized the contest.
